We are strengthening the innovation ecosystem of the Liberec Region on the basis of the National Research and Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialization of the Czech Republic (RIS3).
We develop capacities, organizational structures and knowledge that strengthen the innovation ecosystem of the region. Our core task is communication and networking with key actors, support for the creation of new ties and projects, and management of the business discovery process (so-called EDP). We also include the development of human resources for the fields of science, research, innovation, especially for digitization and industrial transformation and modern, long-term sustainable energy, among the supporting topics. We focus on strengthening the marketing communication of the innovation environment of the region. Support for startups and spin-offs and the development of cross-border cooperation are closely related to these topics. The output of the project is concrete strategic projects aimed at solving the fundamental challenges of the time.

Services
- Core team – The objective of the activity is to ensure the capacity and key competences to coordinate and implement the regional RIS3 strategy through the Regional Development Agency, the development agency of the Liberec Region. In its activities, the core team responds to the current needs of the region's innovative environment, new social challenges and trends.
- Education and development of competences - The aim of the activity is primarily the education of the professional team and strengthening of the relevant competences of experts from partner organizations involved in the development of the innovation environment in the region. In particular, these are experts involved in thematic platforms or the preparation and implementation of strategic projects and members of the Council for Research, Development and Innovation in the Liberec Region.
- Mapping, analysis and evaluation - The goal of the activity is to map, monitor and evaluate the changes and development of the innovation environment in the region, determine its needs and potential and evaluate the results, effects and impacts of the implementation of the regional RIS3 strategy. Thematically, we follow up on the mapping carried out by the SALK II project.
- Assistance - The aim of the activity is to support the development of strategic project plans in the region so that they are in line with the regional RIS3 strategy (and/or the National RIS3 strategy) and so that they can be submitted in the form of an application for support to a relevant call for an appropriate international, national or regional support program.
- Pilot verification - The aim of the activity is to verify the functionality of the Information and Data Portal of the Liberec Region, a new tool supporting the innovation ecosystem in the region. The implementation of the pilot verification was approved by the RVVI in September 2022. - Marketing and communication - The goal of the activity is to build a good reputation of the Liberec region as a region of innovation towards valid target groups. An integral part of this activity is the activation and strengthening of the marketing and communication activities of the subjects of the innovation ecosystem of the region.
